Rod McKuen


                                         Rodney  Marvin McKuen
                                  April 29, 1933 – January 29, 2015

 American poet, singer-songwriter, and actor. Rod McKuen was one of the best-selling poets in the United States.....
 during the late 1960's.
Throughout his career, McKuen produced a wide range of recordings, which included popular music, spoken word poetry, film soundtracks and classical music.
He earned two Academy Award nominations and one Pulitzer nomination for his music compositions.

Corrie Ten Boom

1891-1983 Cornelia "Corrie" Ten Boom was a Dutch Christian who along with her father and other family members helped many Jews escape the Nazi Holocaust during World War Two. She and her family were captured and imprisoned for their actions. Corrie was the only one to survive the horrors of the concentration camp. Her most famous book "The Hiding Place"    was published in 1971 By Corrie along with John and Elizabeth Sherrill. A well written account of a sad time in history.
